The Most Powerful Reactions We’ve Seen in Years
In all my years building software, I’ve never seen reactions quite like what we’ve gotten with Sermon Live. The need is real and growing fast.

The need is real and growing fast. Churches everywhere are seeing more non-English speaking visitors, but translating sermons has always been expensive and out of reach for most churches.
I knew the technology was getting close to making this possible for everyone. So we decided to build it.
Here’s how we got to where we are, and the amazing reactions we’ve gotten every step of the way.
We entered the Gloo Hackathon which is basically a 30-day competition to build the best AI tool for churches. I’d never done anything like this before, but I wanted to give it a shot.
I asked my development team if they wanted to join. They said yes. We didn’t even know what we were going to build yet.
After a few meetings, we landed on live sermon translation. We had 30 days to make it happen.
The reactions: Fellow developers and judges loved it. The response was so strong that I knew we had to turn this into a real product.
I put together a business plan and hired a new developer to build our first working version. We wanted to get it in front of real churches to see what they thought.
The reactions: Our first beta round filled up in less than 10 minutes. We were blown away.
Pastors kept telling us how much this was needed. We heard things like:
With reactions like that, we knew we had to finish this and make it available to everyone. So we hired more people and fully launched Sermon Live in May.
The reactions: Some of the most powerful testimonials I’ve ever received. Here’s my favorite:
“One of our Spanish-speaking visitors was so moved by the message that they came to the altar… that moment alone made everything worth it.”
— Pastor Chris, Whitney Church
